On Tuesday, February 7, Gran went home to be with the Lord. We knew it was coming. Gran was ready. It still stinks. We are SO glad that we got to go to Ashland over Christmas Break and spend time with Gran! He was alert and knew us and enjoyed the visits almost as much as we did. We saw him every day while we were up there. That was the main purpose of the visit. It was one of the very rare times that the five of us have gotten to travel and vacation together since Elliott started his college career.
Peggy is up in Ashland for the funeral, while the rest of us make due in Florida. Emily is sick and hasn't been in school since Wednesday morning (when she had to come home early). I am so glad that we were able to get a flight for Peggy and that she will get to spend some family time. I am also so glad for the example Gran lived for all of us. If I could be half the man of God that Gran was, I would be twice the man of God that I am now. Thanks Gran, enjoy your rest in the Lord, you deserve it!

Wow! What a gracious and complimentary message about "gran". Know that our hearts are with you guys. We're praying for God's peace and comfort to be with you especially during this sad time; and may you find some comfort in your cherished memories of him. The Murillos.
