As I write this, tropical storm Ernesto is ready to slam the Carolinas after fizzling out over Florida. Yesterday was a Sabbath Rest Day for DaBlounts as everyone was out of school/work in anticipation of the "Big Storm." May all our storms be this big and no bigger!
At church, we are gearing up for major changes as we start meeting at Citrus Elementary School this week, and we have our annual Labor Day Picnic on Monday. Should be fun times all the way around. I love the challenges, and I am encouraged by the determination of our leadership to keep things moving forward.
Anyway, just thought I would share a few RANDOM thoughts, since Lil Bro hasn't blogged in over a month now. Oh yeah, Stacie, I have the Wildcats Basketball Schedule posted on the fridge, and don't rub my nose in your cheap gas prices up there in the land of Useless Nuts!

I didn't hear the "Useless Nut" phrase until I arrived here. My boss gave me a buckeye with a note saying, "It's official, you're a 'Useless Nut.'"
I'm trying to not be a "Useless Nut," but I pay the taxes, I have the Ohio license plate, and I was called for jury duty. It was being called for jury duty that forced me to accept the Ohio status.
P.S. - I had cable installed back in February just so I can have ESPN to watch the Cats play. It's one of my cures for homesickness.
Well, bluesofa, at least you finally came to your senses and left the land of useless nuts!
If you were here in 2004, that would have been after Francis and Jeanne both devestated our area. Thanks for your help! Our church served as a distribution center for food and water, etc. following Jeanne. We're hopingto never have to do that again, but if the need arises, we will gladly do it!
