Emily spotted this bird hanging out in the Palm Trees in our mulch bed next to the house. The bird was quite calm and relaxed perched in the Palm Tree, enabling both Emily and me to take several close-up shots with the camera. Guess it is a sign, eh? The Bluebird of Happiness pays us a visit just before we have Elliott's ordination service on Sunday, and just after what he described as a very good day of interviewing and leading worship at a church that is interested in brining him on board. He describes that as his "dream job." We also will have a house full of family this weekend as Peggy's parents, my Lil Bro, Elliott, Abi and Tyler will all be here for the wedding shower/ordination weekend. Now, THAT, truly makes me happy.

Happiness all around.
An update on Dad. Dad is in the Rehabilitation Unit of King's Daughters. This is day number 27 and he had the pleasure of having breakfast at Bob Evans with some other Rehab patients. With the use of a walker, and someone by his side, Dad is able to walk short distances. He says rehab is going well and he is feeling sensation in his left leg. I was shocked to hear that he couldn't at one time. Dad's right leg is swollen and some of the bruises are still hanging around. Doctors are now concerned of a blood clot in his right leg because the bruising and swelling isn't lessening as fast as they would like. An ultrasound was taken yesterday on his leg for clots but ofcourse, we haven't heard of the results.
Dad has his moments of happiness and depression. More and more each day he is sounding like the Dad I know him to be.
Mom and I have been getting a feel for what he remembers of the past 27 days. He doesn't seem to remember the days in ICU, the days before ICU and a couple days after when he was in the Cardiac Step Down Unit. We've been filling in all the details. The good and the bad.
Thank you for your prayers.
