Sinus City has had me feeling like I belong in the receptical pictured in the previous post. My sinus infection started up Thursday, and on Friday, I got the doc to call me in an antibiotic. I then, dutifully went off to the camp workers' retreat. It was a great retreat, but really exhausting. Then came Sunday morning with all that that entails, and exhaustion is not nearly a strong enough word to describe how I felt after leading two worship services, teaching a class, and going out to eat with the family. A two hour "nap" (more like death sleep) did little to revive me, but I had an Elders' meeting at 4:30 and youth groups to lead at 6:00. Fortunately for me, I had gotten one of my youth sponsors to actually lead the discussion, I only had to run the power point to go along with the JEDi Training we are undergoing on Sunday nights. By the time the main devotional presentation was complete, and the students were heading for their Discussion Groups, I got to head home to crash and burn.
Monday, I spent in the bed and in my easy chair. Monday was a blur. Today was not much better, much of it a blur as well, but at least I got a few things done at work. Yee haw! All of this as I am facing the deadline pressure of getting two weeks' worth of work done in three days! Yay!
